Farmville, VA - I am happy to announce that I have completed two new designations this year.

GRI stands for Graduate REALTOR® Institute.
The Virginia REALTORS® Institute program is composed of 90 hours of instruction, divided into twelve 7 1/2 hour modules.  A portion of the total program is based on objectives mandated by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® for inclusion in each state's curriculum.  The curriculum of the remaining portion of the program has been developed to respond specifically to the educational needs of Virginia REALTORS®.

The Virginia REALTORS® Institute is the second oldest of the institutes currently operated in the United States.  In late 1966, when the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® adopted a program leading to the GRI designation, the Virginia Institute was one of only eight that immediately met the standards for this program.  As of the end of 2003, the Virginia REALTOR® Institute has been successfully completed by 9,728 graduates.

Brenda has also completed the Accredited Buyer Reprentative (ABR) course.  The ABR designation is awarded by REBAC to those real estate agents who have the specific educational and experiential criteria needed to provide the high level of service reqired by REBAC.
